Syria, once known as the ‘Land of Civilisations’, has now become a land of bloodshed, terror, suffering and grief.
Men, women and children trapped in the basement of houses, too terrified to go outside. Gun snipers aim at you whilst running to safety.
Lack of food and water as areas are cut off by military tanks. Victims are injured and dying because of insufficient medical supplies. Premature babies are dying as power-cuts hit the hospitals keeping them alive.
For most people, a terrifying prospect to imagine.
For families in Syria, this is about survival.
